A forgotten Keke Palmer comedy is surging on Netflix as her new movie, One of Them Days, thrives in theaters. Keke Palmer is a well-known actor who first achieved prominence as a child actor thanks to her role in 2006’s Akeelah and the Bee, which she followed with roles in family-oriented projects including the Disney Channel original movie Jump In! and the Nickelodeon series True Jackson, VP. While Under the Boardwalk does not yet have enough reviews from critics to earn an official score on Rotten Tomatoes, its audience score stands at a respectable 88%. Netflix has now announced its official Top 10 chart of the most-watched English-language movies for the week of January 27 through February 2, with Under the Boardwalk debuting at No. 3. It accumulated 5.8 million viewers and a total of 8.4 million viewing hours.
Although the movie is not currently streaming on Netflix in the United States, where it is available on video on demand platforms for $3.99, it is in the Top 10 in 20 territories. Remarkably, it stands as the No. 1 movie in Brazil, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, and El Salvador. Even though the Keke Palmer animated movie is not available on Netflix in the United States, its global streaming success, coming amid the success of One of Them Days, is a very good sign for the star.
Looking forward, Keke Palmer has a new project set for 2025: the Aziz Ansari comedy, Good Fortune.
