Amy Poehler Snacks Up Talent: Jenna Weiss-Berman Takes the Reins of Paper Kite Productions’ Audio Division!

Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions has made a significant move by hiring Jenna Weiss-Berman as the head of its audio unit. Weiss-Berman, a prominent figure in the podcast industry, co-founded Pineapple Street Studios, which is renowned for hit shows like “Missing Richard Simmons” and “Wind of Change.” Her appointment as the Head of Paper Kite Audio, previously known as Paper Kite Podcasts, marks a pivotal moment for the company, which has successfully produced notable series like “Say More with Dr. Sheila” and “The Chris Chatman Do-Over.” Previously, Weiss-Berman served as EVP of Podcasts at Audacy, where she developed acclaimed podcasts such as “Hidden Brain” and “Catch & Kill” with Ronan Farrow.

In her new role, Weiss-Berman will also continue to consult with Audacy on various projects for the upcoming months. The growth of Paper Kite Productions in the audio space comes alongside its existing portfolio, which includes popular television series like Netflix’s “Russian Doll,” Peacock’s “The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning,” as well as Fox’s “Duncanville” and Comedy Central’s “Broad City.”

Amy Poehler expressed her enthusiasm for Weiss-Berman’s appointment, stating, “Jenna is the best in the biz and we are thrilled to be making more great things together.” Weiss-Berman echoed this sentiment, noting, “Amy’s a natural at podcasting. This collaboration aims to build out a comprehensive audio division for Paper Kite, with plans for a network of podcasts, comedy specials, YouTube series, and more. The addition of Weiss-Berman promises exciting developments for fans and creators alike.
