Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal on Thursday morning paid a visit to the Grishneshwar Temple in Aurangabad. In the visuals circulating online, Vicky was seen offering Shiv Puja at the Shri Grishneshwar Temple, seeking blessings as he embarks on the pan-India promotions of his upcoming film, Chhaava.
The newly surfaced pictures and videos show Vicky presenting flowers and performing Shiv Puja inside the temple premises. He was accompanied by several priests who guided him on the traditional rituals. Speaking about his film Chhaava, it also stars acclaimed actors Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is a period drama, depicting the legendary saga of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a role that Vicky Kaushal embodies. It aims to portray the valorous reign of the Maratha ruler, commencing with his coronation in 1681.
While promoting the film in Jaipur, Vicky elaborated on the extensive preparation required for his role. “A biopic needs a lot of preparation work not only for an actor but for the entire team. Working on a historical subject is really challenging because of the huge budget and creating a different era on screen. We have tried to make it as realistic as possible,” he stated. He further emphasized, “As an actor, the preparation is not only physical but also mental. There was action training, bodybuilding training and also doing research on the history as it was important to understand that period.”
The movie is set to release in theaters on February 14. After Chhaava, Vicky will take on the role of the legendary warrior sage Parashurama in the ambitious film Mahavatar, inspired by Indian mythology, which is scheduled for a Christmas 2026 release. The efforts of Vicky Kaushal, both in his spiritual offerings and artistic preparations, underscore his commitment to his craft and the cultural significance of the stories he aims to tell.
