The Academy has announced that Scarlett Johansson will be one of the presenters at the upcoming Oscars ceremony on March 2, alongside notable stars such as Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Elle Fanning, Whoopi Goldberg, John Lithgow, Amy Poehler, June Squibb, and Bowen Yang. In keeping with their tradition, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also revealed that Oscars 2024 winners Emma Stone, Cillian Murphy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Robert Downey Jr. will serve as award presenters. These esteemed personalities will present awards for Best Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, and Supporting Actress during the 97th annual Academy Awards.
As anticipation builds for the event, more presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. This year’s Academy Awards will highlight previous winners, including last year’s Best Actor, Cillian Murphy, for his role in “Oppenheimer,” and Emma Stone, who won Best Actress for “Poor Things.” Supporting accolades were awarded to Robert Downey Jr. and Da’Vine Joy Randolph for “Oppenheimer” and “The Holdovers,” respectively.
This year’s ceremony will also recognize the brave efforts of those who battled the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year. The wildfires resulted in significant loss of life and property, prompting the Academy to address these courageous acts within the ceremony.
The Oscars will be broadcast live on ABC and will also be available for streaming on Hulu. Conan O’Brien is set to host this prestigious event, ensuring an evening full of memorable moments and awards.
