Vicky Kaushal‘s eagerly awaited historical epic, Chhaava, is making a strong impact at the box office right from the start. With its grand release coming up on Valentine’s Day, the film has already secured more than Rs 13 crore in advance bookings, setting the stage for a robust opening. Early estimates from Sachilk.com indicate that Chhaava has accumulated approximately Rs 13.78 crore through pre-booked ticket sales. The film has sold over 4.87 lakh tickets across more than 14,063 shows nationwide.
While the net advance booking figure stands at Rs 13 crore now, it’s anticipated that including blocked seats will raise the total to Rs 17.87 crore. Industry experts are forecasting that Chhaava could achieve an impressive opening of Rs 23-25 crore net on its first day, positioning it as one of the largest debuts in the historical genre. The film’s appeal is particularly strong in Maharashtra, where its regional connection is driving ticket sales.
Trade analysts suggest that if the film receives positive word of mouth after its release, Chhaava could become a significant success in Maharashtra and potentially expand its box office success to other regions. However, its overall performance across the country remains uncertain, as advance ticket sales have struggled to surpass the Rs 1 crore mark in most states, with the exception of Delhi.
In this film, Vicky Kaushal embodies Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a brave warrior-king celebrated for his fight against the Mughal Empire. Following his captivating role in Sam Bahadur, Kaushal is ready to deliver another powerful performance as a historical figure. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai.
