Did You Know Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Startup’ In College Involved a Broken Scooter? His Hilarious Anecdote Will Leave You in Splits!

In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, Amitabh Bachchan spoke about the rise of youth-led startups. While appreciating the entrepreneurial spirit of today’s generation, he humorously recalled his version of “startups” from his college days. Big B shared a funny anecdote about how he and his friends used to struggle to start a scooter, which was their idea of a “startup” back then. He confessed that he didn’t own a scooter and often had to plead with his friends for a ride, with their usual destination being a casual jaunt around the ladies’ college.

Talking about the challenges of using an old scooter, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he had a unique trick to start it. He recalled a scene from his film Roti, Kapda, Makaan, where he employed a similar method. “The scooter was in bad shape. It would take 10-12 kicks to start. The accelerator didn’t work, so we had our own ‘startup’ method—pulling the wire with our mouth while kicking it to get it going,” he said, leaving the audience in splits. This lighthearted moment provided insight into how resourceful and adaptable they were during their college years.

During the episode, 25-year-old Manasi Medha from IIM Ahmedabad took the hot seat after winning the Fastest Finger First round. Originally from Bhagalpur, Bihar, Manasi has mastered over 250 skills and learned multiple languages, including Japanese, Spanish, and sign language. Amitabh Bachchan was amazed by her achievements and inquired, “Is there anything left for you to achieve?” To which Manasi replied, “Being here on KBC and meeting you has added another feather to my cap.” She played confidently and won ₹1,60,000, demonstrating her quick thinking and knowledge.

However, when faced with a tricky question about the new insignia of the Supreme Court of India, she decided to quit as she had no lifelines left. The question was: Which institute conceptualized the new insignia of the Supreme Court of India, unveiled in 2024? Manasi guessed Option B, but the correct answer was Option A—NIFT, Delhi. Despite this, she walked away with ₹1,60,000 and an unforgettable experience on Kaun Banega Crorepati, proving that even in moments of challenge, one’s journey can be filled with memorable encounters and witty anecdotes.
