Recently, choreographer and director Ahmed Khan addressed the controversy surrounding Akshay’s use of a teleprompter for his dialogue delivery, shedding light on the actor’s unique approach. The discussion emerged following a video shared by a VFX artist on Instagram, depicting Akshay as a ‘Telepromoter actor’ in a clip from his film Sarfira.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ahmed Khan, who is collaborating with Akshay in the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle, confirmed that the superstar does utilize a teleprompter. He emphasized that many actors adopt various methods, stating, “What Akshay does is also a talent.” This acknowledgment highlights the diverse techniques employed by actors to enhance their performances.
Ahmed explained that Akshay Kumar excels at physical acting, which is often a challenge for many in the industry. “He does so many things physically. While many actors can remember dialogues but do not give much from their side physically, Akshay tries to give a lot of things from his side to the film,” he noted. This insight portrays Akshay not just as an actor who recites lines but as someone who immerses himself in the role.
Khan also revealed that iconic punchlines, such as ‘Behen dar gayi’ and ‘Chal-Chal Baap ko mat sikha,’ are often improvised by Akshay, showcasing his creativity and ability to infuse spontaneity into his performances. Highlighting Akshay’s perspective, Khan shared, “He says, ‘I am giving so much, I am not in school that I will memorize the dialogues.’ That is why he reads and speaks but as an actor, he also adds interesting things from his side in the film.”
On the professional front, Akshay Kumar has kickstarted 2025 on a positive note with the release of Sky Force, an aerial action film that premiered on January 25 and performed commendably at the box office.
