Taiwan Digs into Four Firms: The Taiwanese government is looking into how four companies worked with companies in China linked to the tech giant Huawei, which is banned in the United States. Wang Mei-hua, Taiwan’s Minister of Economy, said that the Ministry will closely check to see if these businesses’ operations in China meet the conditions set out in the initial investment licenses that Taiwanese officials gave them. All four of them strongly deny doing anything wrong. China has a more extended National Day break, so Huawei hasn’t said anything.
