Andrew Tate Thinks Rachel Zegler’s “Snow White” Could’ve Been a Hit: “She Should Sing, Not Talk”

Known more for his outspoken comments than his past in professional kickboxing, Andrew Tate, 38, has directed his latest controversial opinion toward actress Rachel Zegler. In the aftermath of the poor performance of Zegler’s recent film, Snow White, Tate has attracted attention by suggesting this live-action adaptation could have been “the most popular movie in the world,” if only Zegler had spoken less.

Famed for his surprising stunts, Tate took to his X handle to issue a challenge, promising his followers that if his tweet hit over 5,000 retweets, he would watch Snow White and share a review on Rumble. His fans succeeded, leading to Tate renting an entire theater to view the Rachel Zegler-led film with his friends. His subsequent review was as unexpected as his initial challenge. Despite the film’s commercial struggles, Tate opined that it might have achieved global popularity, albeit with less commentary from Zegler.

In a self-made video shared on his X handle @Cobratate, Tate expressed, “This b—h can sing. This b—h can sing, she should shut the f–k up. This could be the most popular movie in the world. Instead, she’s running her mouth, talking about her opinions. No, who wants to hear a woman’s opinions? Anybody? Anyone? No, didn’t think so. Shut the f–k up and sing. I’ve seen her sing in other videos, she can actually sing. I’ll give it to her, she can sing. This one sucks.”

Tate, known for his controversial and often misogynistic remarks, this time may have struck a chord with some. Even before the film’s release, Rachel Zegler faced backlash for various reasons. Critics pointed to her portrayal of a character originally described as having “skin as white as snow,” contrasting with Zegler’s Brown skin. Furthermore, Zegler became a lightning rod for controversy through her public political stances, notably clashing with co-star Gal Gadot. Zegler also faced criticism following comments about Donald Trump supporters after the 2024 presidential election results.

Promotional statements made by Zegler for Snow White in 2023 further fueled public scrutiny. She labeled Prince Charming “a guy who literally stalks her,” and commented, “It’s no longer 1937. She’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be.”

While Tate’s comments are delivered through a lens often critiqued for misogyny, the essence of his review—suggesting that less dialogue and more singing by Zegler could elevate the movie’s success—resonates amid Snow White‘s current struggles at the box office. How Disney addresses this setback remains an open question.

Snow White is currently showing in theaters.
