Jenna Ortega describes Lady Gaga’s “unbelievably cool” surprise presence on the Wednesday set

Jenna Ortega has expressed her astonishment and excitement at Lady Gaga’s surprise appearance on the set of “Wednesday,” describing the experience as “unbelievably cool.” The well-loved Netflix series, which is a fresh take on The Addams Family, is set to return later this year for its second season, following the adventures of Ortega’s character, Wednesday Addams, at Nevermore Academy.

In an unexpected twist, the announcement of Lady Gaga joining the cast for the upcoming season stirred fans’ curiosity, although the specifics of her role remain shrouded in mystery. While Gaga’s character details have not yet been revealed, Ortega shared her candid reaction to the pop sensation’s arrival, admitting the cast was taken aback when Gaga appeared on set.

Ortega’s Enthusiastic Revelation

“She’s so unbelievably cool,” Ortega recounted in an interview with Film Updates. “Her presence took us by surprise, even on the day. The feeling was surreal. But she’s such a sweetheart, incredibly kind, and an absolute delight to work with. Her talent is immense.”

Director Tim Burton and Ortega enjoyed their time with Gaga, discovering a shared sense of creativity and camaraderie. Ortega expressed gratitude, saying, “It kind of felt like a pipe dream. We didn’t think it could happen, so we were very grateful and appreciative. We love her.”

Ortega, who also starred in the Scream franchise and will soon appear in “Death of a Unicorn,” dropped hints about the second season. She mentioned that classic horror films such as “Carrie” and “Prom Night” inspired a thrilling, slasher-themed episode, promising fans a visually exciting experience.

What to Expect in Season Two

“Visually, we had some of the most fun we’ve ever had,” Ortega explained. Her role as producer allowed her to influence the creative vision. “There is a frame of Pugsley rolling his eyes back with this contraption around his head… It’s insane. So bizarre… There’s a whole episode based off of slashers, and we make a lot of horror references. We felt we could do bigger, more elaborate sequences.”

Fans eagerly await “Wednesday” Season 2 on Netflix, as it currently remains in production. Ortega’s excitement and Gaga’s mesmerizing presence promise an engaging season full of unexpected developments and memorable moments.

Ortega’s vibrant portrayal and Lady Gaga’s intriguing involvement are set to elevate the series, generating buzz and enhancing its appeal to audiences worldwide. High school readers and fans alike can look forward to an invigorating blend of mystery, horror, and charismatic performances.
