Excitement is reaching fever pitch for fans of Manoj Bajpayee as they anticipate the long-awaited release of the third season of the acclaimed web series, The Family Man. The series sees Bajpayee return to his role as Srikant Tiwari, a seemingly typical, middle-class man with a clandestine role as an intelligence officer in the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC). In a recent interaction with OTT Play, Bajpayee revealed that the series is set to premiere in November.
In his conversation, Bajpayee stated, “Nothing more than what is already out, but The Family Man Season 3 is releasing in November this year. You must have already heard in the news that there is a new addition to the show.” This news has sparked considerable enthusiasm among fans.
He also revealed, “We cast Jaideep Ahlawat two years ago, and he has done very well with Paatal Lok Season 2. To our luck, he is in Season 3 of The Family Man. This season is massive and very beautiful.” Ahlawat’s inclusion is noteworthy, given his past collaborations with Bajpayee in films like Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1 and 2, and Chittagong. However, this season marks their first collaboration in a web series format.
The upcoming season promises to weave its narrative through the chaotic backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previews suggest a strategic interplay where China purportedly uses the pandemic as a diversion to launch attacks on Northeastern states of India. The complex geopolitics adds another thrilling layer to the storyline that fans are eagerly awaiting.
This season sees familiar faces like Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, and Sharad Kelkar return, with additional intrigue generated by rumors of a cameo from Vijay Sethupathi’s character from Farzi. Raj & D.K., along with Suman Kumar, have crafted an engaging story, with dialogue by Sumit Arora.
Manoj Bajpayee’s portrayal of Srikant Tiwari has continuously garnered praise, bringing a unique charm and intensity to the character. As the release date approaches, anticipation builds, with fans eager to see how the story unfolds and what challenges lie ahead for Bajpayee’s character. The series is not just a thrilling watch but a reflection on global issues, poised to capture both hearts and minds globally.
