When asked about Corner House, a favorite dessert spot in Bengaluru, Deepika admits with a smile, “I do miss it, but I’m actually glad there isn’t one in Mumbai because that would require a different level of willpower.” She looks back fondly on her formative years in Bengaluru, saying, “Whenever I come back to Bengaluru, it feels like home because this is where I’ve lived a large part of my life, with my friends, school, and college.”
Despite her deep roots in Bengaluru, her affinity for Mumbai is undeniable. The city symbolizes her professional beginnings and current life with her husband, Ranveer Singh. She confesses, “Mumbai is where my life began professionally, and that’s where home is now. The energy in Mumbai is very different, making it difficult to choose one over the other.
