Hrithik Roshan Nervous About Directorial Debut for ‘Krrish 4’: “Feels Like Kindergarten Again”

Actor Hrithik Roshan is set to embark on a new journey, making his directorial debut with the much-anticipated ‘Krrish 4’. Roshan has candidly expressed his nervousness about this new role, likening it to being “back in kindergarten.” This revelation was echoed at a recent event in the United States, and further confirmed by his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, on the social media platform X last month.

In a video shared online, Hrithik Roshan expressed that he has always believed in having “a filmmaker deep inside.” When questioned about his excitement for the new role, the ‘War’ actor conveyed his mixed emotions, stating, “I am afraid and nervous. I feel like I’m back in kindergarten. It seems I have to grow up in a whole different way all over again.” He continued by emphasizing the challenges ahead, saying, “It’s going to be a new challenge — uncertainties, seeking, searching. I’m sure there will be moments where I feel like I’ve made the wrongest decision ever. And in my alone moments — the moments when I feel fear — I will remember you all, and I will remember the love.”

Rakesh Roshan expressed his pride and confidence in Hrithik’s new journey through a heartfelt post on X. The senior Roshan wrote that he is passing the baton to his son and “re-launching” him after 25 years, celebrating this transition with a message of good wishes and blessings for his new avatar as a director. “Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again, after 25 yrs, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers, Adi Chopra & myself, to take forward our most ambitious film, #Krrish4,” Rakesh Roshan mentioned as he shared his excitement for this familial collaboration.

‘Krrish 4’ also marks a continuation of a beloved franchise, previously directed by Siddharth Anand, who had Helmed Hrithik Roshan in ‘Fighter’. The last installment of the ‘Krrish’ series was released in 2013 with Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut in leading roles, alongside Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist. This time, the baton has been passed, promising new creative directions under Hrithik’s helm.

As Hrithik navigates the challenges of directing ‘Krrish 4’, he will look to his previous experiences and the legacy built by his father. Rakesh Roshan’s message highlights the trust and belief in his son’s vision, coupled with guidance from renowned filmmakers like Adi Chopra. The weight of expectations is evident as fans and followers worldwide eagerly anticipate this addition to the ‘Krrish’ saga. The project, while still enveloped in secrecy, promises to merge the thrilling action and heartwarming narratives that have been the hallmark of the series.

While Hrithik Roshan embraces his new directorial role, he continues to make strides in his acting career. He was last seen in ‘Fighter’, sharing the screen with Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, and is expected to appear in ‘War 2’ soon. As he juggles acting and directing, Roshan’s journey exemplifies growth and artistic exploration in Bollywood, showcasing his multifaceted talents.

Hrithik Roshan stepping into the director’s chair signifies a pivotal moment not just for the Roshan family but also for the Indian film industry. It underlines the evolution of Bollywood icons, expanding into new creative territories. As fans await further developments on ‘Krrish 4’, the anticipation is matched by curiosity about how Hrithik Roshan will navigate this new stage of his illustrious career, balancing his signature charisma with newfound directorial acumen.
