Actor Ben Affleck recently elaborated on his discomfort with the Batman suit, describing it as a “horrendous” outfit. Ben, who debuted as Batman in the 2016 film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” expressed that wearing the suit was exhausting and made him sweat profusely. This enlightening revelation comes from an interview with GQ, where he candidly shared his experience.
Affleck’s struggle with the Batman suit was evident as he discussed the difficulties encountered on set. “I hated the Batsuits,” he admitted. “The Batsuits are horrendous to wear. They’re hot and don’t breathe; there’s no thought put into the human being. So what happens is that you just start sweating.” His frank comments highlighted the physical strain endured during filming.
Continuing his observations, Ben Affleck noted, “It just made it difficult to make the movie, because you’re so hot. It also does not make you feel very heroic, because you’re instantly exhausted and really sweaty.” He compared his experience to others who have donned the suit, mentioning, “Maybe Christian [Bale] or Rob [Pattinson], guys like that, were just better at dealing with it.”
The film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder, also starred Henry Cavill as Superman and received a mixed response upon release. In addition to this role, Ben Affleck appeared as Batman in the films “Suicide Squad” and “Justice League.” The Batman franchise later saw Robert Pattinson stepping into the iconic role for the 2022 release of “The Batman” directed by Matt Reeves.
