Janelle Monáe Headlines Star-Studded 2025 Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival in Seattle This Labor Day

Janelle Monáe is set to headline the 2025 Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival, taking place in Seattle over Labor Day weekend, August 30-31. The festival, renowned for its eclectic blend of music, visual arts, and local cuisine, returns for its 52nd annual edition at the iconic Seattle Center, promising two days filled with creativity and community.

Alongside Janelle Monáe, the festival will feature performances from high-profile acts such as Weezer, Car Seat Headrest, Bright Eyes, Aurora, and Sylvan Esso. The event’s lineup also includes The Budos Band, Indigo De Souza, Tank and the Bangas, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Quasi, Real Estate, Saba, The Linda Lindas, Hey, Nothing, Spellling, Fat Dog, and a special set from Digable Planets marking the 30th anniversary of Blowout Comb.

Bumbershoot’s setting within Seattle Center’s vast urban campus allows attendees to explore more than just the music. This year, the festival continues its tradition of highlighting the Pacific Northwest’s vibrant food and drink scene, with offerings from local restaurants, Cocktail Corner, VineShoot, and BumBEERshoot, each celebrating the region’s diverse flavors.
