Liam Neeson’s Action Thriller ‘Run All Night’ Drops on Free Streaming This February – Don’t Miss the Adrenaline Rush!

A divisive action thriller led by aging action icon Liam Neeson sprints onto free streaming in February. The Taken star has become well-renowned for his action movie prowess, and while 2015’s Run All Night may not have won over all the critics, it’s well worth a watch for anyone looking for another reliably gruff performance from the Academy Award nominee. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who recently found much success with his festive action thriller Carry-On on Netflix, and written by Brad Ingelsby, Run All Night stars Joel Kinnaman, Common, and Ed Harris alongside Neeson. The film finds the actor on familiar ground as a hitman who is forced to go on the run with his son after killing a mob boss.

Run All Night is set to hit Tubi on February 1, and you can check out the official synopsis below. Longtime hitman Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson), best friend of mob boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris), has seen better days. He’s haunted both by the sins of his past and a police detective who’s been breathing down his neck for 30 years, and the only comfort Jimmy has is whiskey. However, when his estranged son (Joel Kinnaman) becomes a mob target, Jimmy figures that the only way to atone for his past mistakes is to make sure that his son doesn’t wind up at the wrong end of a gun.

While it doesn’t reach the heights of the first Taken, Run All Night is still one of the best movies in Liam Neeson’s action era, in this writer’s opinion. However, some critics didn’t feel the same, and Run All Night now holds a “rotten” score of 59% on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences felt similarly, scoring the action outing at 56%. But forget all that, and sit back to enjoy Neeson doing what he does so well over one adrenaline-pumping night.

Despite threats of retirement from the action movie genre, Liam Neeson has several explosive projects currently in the pipeline. These include Cold Storage, the upcoming sequel The Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky, and Mongoose, which will follow Neeson as Ryan ‘Fang’ Flanagan, a war hero accused of a crime he didn’t commit. With nothing to lose, he leads police on an epic televised cross-country car chase, aided by members of his former Special Forces Army battalion, all while being closely monitored by a fascinated public rooting for his safe getaway.

Shifting away from action a little, Neeson is also set to flex his comedic muscles. The Taken star will lead the upcoming reboot of The Naked Gun from director Akiva Schaffer, based on an original story written by Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane. The reboot will see Neeson take over the franchise from the late, great Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin Jr. The cast includes Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Rhodes, CCH Pounder, and Busta Rhymes. The Naked Gun reboot is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2025, by Paramount Pictures.
