Aamir Khan Hosts Star-Studded Loveyapa Screening: Rekha’s Heartwarming Greetings & Touching Tributes to Legends!

On Tuesday evening, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan organized a special screening of his son Junaid Khan’s first theatrical release, Loveyapa. The event, held in a lavish venue, was graced by several distinguished personalities from the film industry, including Dharmendra, Rekha, Shabana Azmi, and Kabir Khan, highlighting the significance of this moment for the Khan family.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as the attendees gathered to support Junaid on his cinematic debut. Visuals captured by paparazzi showcased Dharmendra, who appeared genuinely delighted to see Aamir. Their camaraderie was evident, as the two actors posed enthusiastically for the cameras. Aamir expressed his respect for Dharmendra by touching his feet, a traditional gesture that signifies reverence, which Dharmendra readily acknowledged.

In a heartwarming exchange, Dharmendra was also spotted engaging in a friendly conversation with Rekha, his co-star from numerous films. As Dharmendra, 89, prepared to leave, he reciprocated the respect shown to him by Rekha, who touched his feet as well. This display of mutual admiration among the legends of Bollywood added an emotional layer to the evening.

Rekha, 70, made her entrance gracefully, folding her hands and greeting Aamir with an “adaab”. The two shared a warm hug, embodying the sense of family prevalent throughout the night. Rekha also paid her respects to filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi by touching his feet, showing her appreciation for those who have made significant contributions to her career. The evening was also attended by Aamir’s daughter, Ira Khan, who welcomed the guests alongside her father, emphasizing the familial bonds that tie the Khan dynasty to the broader film community.

Loveyapa is a romantic comedy that features Junaid opposite Khushi Kapoor, the youngest daughter of late iconic actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. As the film’s release date approaches, Junaid and Khushi have been actively promoting it. In a recent interview, they shared insights from their on-set experiences. Junaid humorously remarked, “I have one complaint from Khushi Ji. Like, I am a professional actor too. I used to come on time, but she always reaches half an hour before the assigned time. It’s very annoying.”

Khushi, in response, explained her punctuality: “I get tense even if I am only five seconds late. My hairstylist and makeup team always message me not to come before them. It’s a habit I developed from my childhood. I always come early. Sometimes, the generators start after I reach the set.” This light-hearted exchange not only showcased their chemistry but also revealed a glimpse into their working relationship as they prepared for the film’s upcoming release.

Loveyapa, directed by Advait Chandan, is set to hit theaters on February 7. This film marks a significant milestone for Junaid Khan as he embarks on his journey in the film industry, following in the illustrious footsteps of his father, Aamir Khan. The supportive environment at the screening reflects the immense love and encouragement surrounding both Junaid and Khushi as they venture into this exciting chapter of their careers.

The significance of this screening extends beyond the attendees; it symbolizes a passing of the torch within Bollywood, bridging generations of talent. As Aamir Khan hosts such a prominent event, it is evident that the legacy of artistry and storytelling continues to thrive, promising an engaging future for cinema enthusiasts everywhere.
