Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about his experiences filming with Shah Rukh Khan in the highly anticipated movie Dunki. He humorously recounted some of his ‘intimate’ scenes with the Bollywood superstar, discussing how the project allowed him to fulfill several personal dreams. In an engaging conversation with Pinkvilla, Vicky reflected on an amusing moment: “Iss film mein mere itne sapne poore hue hai na. Maine Shah Rukh sir ke saath ek drunk scene kar liya, agle din humne ek hi nimbu chaat liya aur phir unke baaho mein main marr bhi gaya. Itna naseeb toh Shah Rukh sir ki heroine ko nahi milta. Main sir ko mazaak mazaak mein bolta tha, itne intimate aap kisi ke saath hue ho jitne aap mere saath hue ho? Voh bhi kehte, nahi yaar (laughs).”
Released in 2023, Dunki features Vicky Kaushal in the role of Sukhi, alongside a talented ensemble cast that includes Taapsee Pannu, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for his unique storytelling style that blends humor and serious themes effectively.
In addition to his work in Dunki, Vicky Kaushal is currently preparing for the release of another film titled Chhaava. This historical drama is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky expressed his excitement about portraying such an iconic figure, sharing, “I belong to a Punjabi family, but even for us, he (Shivaji Maharaj) is God. And it’s not like someone has told us this, we have seen it since childhood.” He elaborated on the film’s goal, stating, “So our objective is to now create equal awareness about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, too, for celebrating his bravery.”
Chhaava is set to release in theaters on February 14, 2025, further showcasing Vicky Kaushal’s commitment to significant roles in meaningful stories. As the actor navigates his film career, his connections with legends like Shah Rukh Khan continue to enrich his journey in the world of Bollywood.
