Vicky Kaushal Lauds Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt as Incredibly Talented: ‘They’re Easy to Work With!’

Vicky Kaushal is currently immersed in preparations for his upcoming period drama, Chhaava, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, set to release on February 14, 2025. Concurrently, he is shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s anticipated film, Love and War, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Vicky praised both actors, expressing, “I have great comfort with both of them. I’m doing my second film with Ranbir; I did Sanju with him. With Alia, I did Raazi, so both are very easy to work with— incredibly talented actors. I don’t even need to say that.”

Originally scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, Love and War has now been moved to March 20, 2026. This film marks the first collaboration of Ranbir Kapoor and Bhansali since the actor’s debut in Saawariya in 2007. The official announcement for the film came in January 2024 through a post on Instagram, which read, “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga ‘Love & War.’ See You At The Movies Christmas 2025.”

Alia Bhatt also shared her thoughts regarding the project in a conversation with News18 Showsha, highlighting the excitement surrounding it. “There are so many layers to look forward to, that I don’t know which one to pick. First and foremost, the pleasure and honour of working with Sanjay sir, once again, under his guidance and gaze, flourish is step number one. You can go anywhere with it because of his attention to detail and his attention to you,” she stated.

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which is set to be released in two parts. The first poster has already been unveiled, with confirmed details of his portrayal of Lord Ram. Prime Focus Studios’ Namit Malhotra confirmed the release date for the two-part epic.

Chhaava promises to depict the life of one of India’s most revered historical figures, with Vicky playing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. His role exemplifies determination and resilience, while Rashmika portrays Maharani Yesubai, a symbol of strength and grace. Akshaye will take on the challenging role of the powerful Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, crafting a compelling historical narrative that promises to captivate audiences.
