Prime Video Ad Strategy Unveiled: The big Amazon streaming service announcement is a hit! They just announced that Prime Video will include ads in 2019. All of this is part of a plan to keep making great shows and movies while showing ads.

You may already know that Prime Video streams many great movies and TV shows. It costs $8.99 per month currently. Amazon Prime, which costs $14.99 per month or $139.99 per year, includes Prime Video for free. This membership includes Prime Video.

Amazon promises their streaming service will have less ads than TV or other providers.

In early 2024, these ads will run in key markets like the US, UK, Germany, and Canada. After that, they will appear in France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia throughout the year.

Existing Prime subscribers are pleased that these ads will not raise Prime prices. This means that current members will not have to pay any fees in 2024.

Amazon wants all customers to have options. In the US, they’ll have a plan for you if you hate ads. You’ll pay $2.99 each month to avoid ads. These costs have not been disclosed for international purchases.

Even when watching live sports on Prime Video, like Thursday Night Football, you’ll see ads.

Amazon’s decision comes as other streaming companies change their prices. Disney is raising the price of their ad-free streaming service Disney+. Starting in October, the monthly fee will rise from $10.99 to $13.99.

Disney owns Hulu, therefore you must pay more to view it ad-free. It will rise from $14.99 to $17.99 each month.

Netflix remains popular despite its efforts to keep customers’ passwords private.

Additionally, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max is the newest streaming competition. The $9.99 plan includes ads, the $15.99 plan does not, and the $19.99 premium plan allows you to watch on four devices at once and contains high-quality versions of some shows and movies.

By adding ads to Prime Video, Amazon is changing the streaming industry. We’ll have to wait and see what happens!
