She was born in Santa Monica, California, to fitness instructor Margaret Neville Johnson and actor Clint Eastwood, and has half-siblings including Scott and Francesca Eastwood. Eastwood began acting as a child and has since directed features such as Rails & Ties (2007) and Battlecreek (2017). She has also pursued modeling and runs Eastwood Ranch Apparel, and she founded the Eastwood Ranch Foundation, a non-profit animal-welfare organization. She studied at Santa Catalina School and Stevenson School in California, attended UC Santa Barbara but did not graduate. In 2013 she married sculptor Stacy Poitras.
