Bonnie Bedelia Culkin (born March 25, 1948) is an American actress whose career has spanned more than six decades across stage, film, and television. After beginning her work in theatre in the 1960s, Bedelia starred in the CBS daytime soap opera Love of Life and made her film debut in The Gypsy Moths. She is widely recognized for her portrayals of Holly Gennero McClane in Die Hard (1988) and Die Hard 2 (1990), and for playing family matriarch Camille Braverman in the NBC drama series Parenthood (2010–15). For her television work, Bedelia has earned two Emmy Award nominations.

Bonnie Bedelia Culkin was born in New York City on March 25, 1948. She is the daughter of Marian Ethel Wagner, a writer and editor, and Philip Harley Culkin, who worked in public relations. Bedelia was born during a difficult financial period after her father’s firm went bankrupt, and the family lived in a cold-water tenement flat. Her mother died when Bedelia was 14, after which her father spent a year in hospital.
