Camp married his first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, on October 21, 2000. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed away on February 5, 2001, at the age of 21. Several of Camp’s most well-known songs, including “I Still Believe” and “Walk by Faith,” were written in response to her illness and passing, and their love story inspired the 2020 film I Still Believe. On December 15, 2003, he married Adrienne Liesching, former frontwoman of the Christian rock band The Benjamin Gate, and the couple has three children. In March 2024, Camp underwent heart surgery to treat atrial fibrillation.
