Kevin Michael McHale (born June 14, 1988) is an American actor and singer. Formerly one of the two lead vocalists of the boy band NLT, McHale is best known for his portrayal of Artie Abrams on the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee, a role that brought him nominations including a Grammy Award nomination, three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and two Teen Choice Award nominations. From 2014 to 2016 he hosted the British panel show Virtually Famous on E4. Kevin Michael McHale was born in Plano, Texas, to Christopher McHale and Elizabeth Payne and is the youngest of four children. He moved to California with his parents as a teenager to pursue opportunities in entertainment and attended Academy of the Canyons High School in the Santa Clarita Valley.
