    Josh White Bio

Joshua White (born May 7, 1991) is an American professional stock car racing driver from Charleston, West Virginia. He last competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 03 and No. 86 Ford for Clubb Racing Inc. White has also previously competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He is a former lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and is believed to be the second U.S. Marine to compete in a NASCAR national series event.

    Early Life and Background

Joshua White was born on May 7, 1991, in Charleston, West Virginia. He grew up in a family that spent time on a working farm, where his grandfather introduced him to driving at a very young age. At eight years old, his grandfather let him drive a truck around the family farm, with his grandmother riding alongside him during those early drives. White has said those early experiences in his grandfather’s truck were what first sparked his interest in racing.

After his grandmother passed away shortly before a 2015 race at Salem Speedway, White honored her memory by placing a memorial decal on his ARCA Racing Series car. His rural upbringing and family roots in West Virginia helped shape the grounded, hardworking attitude he has carried into his racing career and his later service in the military.

    Path to NASCAR

White began racing at sixteen, starting with drag racing before moving on to mud bogging at the age of 18. In 2007, he competed at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park, where he won four times in the track’s IHRA Street Modified division. Two years later, he moved up to the track’s IHRA Modified class, adding five more wins to his resume. In 2010, White enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and attended boot camp at Parris Island, serving as a lance corporal in the Ready Reserve program.

After completing basic training, White returned to racing in 2011 and switched to stock cars, running IMCA Crate Late Models at I-77 Raceway, where he earned a win along with five top-five finishes. In 2012, he ran an Automobile Racing Club of America event at Toledo Speedway and finished thirteenth. The following year, he began competing full-time in the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series for Team Wilson, which set the stage for his eventual move into the ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR.

    Josh White Career

    Early Career (2013–2014)

White made his ARCA Racing Series debut in 2013 with Hixson Motorsports at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield. He retired from the race after two laps due to handling problems and finished 31st, and he also made a start at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds Racetrack, where he finished 30th. That same year, he ran full-time in the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series for Team Wilson in the No. 9 Ford, gaining valuable experience on short tracks across the region.

White did not make an ARCA Racing Series start in 2014, taking a step back from national-level competition while continuing to develop his skills. When he returned to the ARCA Racing Series in 2015, he ran seventeen races for Hixson Motorsports. He ended the season twelfth in points, with a best finish of 21st at Springfield, showing steady improvement in his equipment and consistency.

ARCA Racing Series and Truck Series Attempt (2015–2016)

In 2015, White was originally scheduled to make his Camping World Truck Series debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but he did not attempt the race. The next season, he joined Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing to attempt his Truck Series debut at Martinsville Speedway in 2016. The effort was supported by Gulf War veteran David Pack, a business development representative at Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing and board member with the military charity Driven2Honor, who noticed White’s Facebook post seeking funding to race.

White started 31st at Martinsville but was involved in a crash on lap 51 with Kyle Donahue and finished 32nd and last. Although he was initially reported to be the first Marine to compete in a NASCAR national series event, it was later noted that ex-Marine Larry Frank had driven in the NASCAR Grand National Series between 1956 and 1966, making White believed to be the second Marine to do so.

    Clubb Racing Inc. Era (2022–Present)

After three years without a ride, White signed with Vizion Motorsports in late 2019, with plans to potentially run the ARCA season opener at Daytona and some Truck Series races if sponsorship was secured. Although he was set to run at ARCA’s January 2020 Daytona test with Josh Williams Motorsports in the No. 60, he did not end up turning any laps. On January 1, 2022, Clubb Racing Inc. announced that White would return to ARCA and drive three races in their No. 03 car, marking his first ARCA starts since 2015 and his first NASCAR start since 2016.

White finished 25th at Charlotte in 2022 after an early-race crash, and that turned out to be his only start of the season. On June 23, 2025, White announced that he would return to ARCA once again, driving for Clubb Racing Inc. in the No. 03 Ford at Bristol Motor Speedway, signaling his continued passion for competition at the national level.

    Notable Races and Milestones

White’s first ARCA Racing Series start came at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield in 2013, while his NASCAR national series debut came at Martinsville Speedway in 2016 with Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing. His 2022 return at Charlotte with Clubb Racing Inc. marked his first NASCAR start in six years, and his 2025 announcement to run Bristol showed his ongoing commitment to the sport.

    Josh White Family

    Family Background and Racing Lineage

White’s introduction to driving came from his grandfather, who allowed him to drive a truck around the family farm at eight years old. His grandmother often rode with him during those early drives, and she remained a meaningful presence in his life. After her passing before a 2015 ARCA race at Salem Speedway, White honored her by placing a memorial decal on his car, a tribute that reflected the deep family connection to his racing journey.

    Personal Life

White served his country as a lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and completed boot camp at Parris Island. Outside of racing, he hosts and produces an outdoor hunting show called Josh White’s Outdoor Adventures, which was added to the Pursuit Channel on December 10, 2024, with Season 3 premiering the following month.

    2025 Season Performance

White is set to return to ARCA competition in 2025 with Clubb Racing Inc., driving the No. 03 Ford. The comeback announcement came on June 23, 2025, confirming his entry at Bristol Motor Speedway, a high-profile short track known for tight racing and frequent contact. The Bristol event continues his long relationship with Clubb Racing Inc., the same team that fielded his car for his 2022 Charlotte start.

The 2025 plan is built around selective part-time runs rather than a full-season effort, allowing White to balance his racing schedule with his other ventures. With the No. 03/86 Ford program and the continued support of Clubb Racing Inc., White enters the season focused on completing races and building momentum for future opportunities in the ARCA Menards Series and beyond.
