Lacey Nicole Chabert (born September 30, 1982) is an American actress whose career spans more than four decades across television, film, voice acting, and producing. She first gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Claudia Salinger on the Fox drama Party of Five and went on to build a versatile résumé that includes mainstream comedies, science fiction, voice work, and family-friendly holiday films. Chabert has appeared in more than 40 Hallmark Channel productions, a body of work that has earned her the popular title “Queen of Hallmark Christmas Movies.”
In addition to her on-screen work, Chabert has built a parallel career in animation and video games, contributed to People magazine as a blogger, launched the Lacey Chabert Collection apparel line with HSN, and expanded into producing. Lacey Nicole Chabert was born on September 30, 1982, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and raised in the nearby town of Purvis. She grew up in a close-knit family alongside a younger brother, Tony, and an older sister, Chrissy. Her father is of Cajun descent, with roots in Louisiana, and her oldest sister, Wendy, passed away in November 2021.
From an early age, Chabert gravitated toward performance. In 1985, at just three years old, she was crowned “World’s Baby Petite” in the World’s Our Little Miss Scholarship Competition. She also participated in beauty pageants as a child and once held the title of Miss Jr. Mississippi, experiences that gave her confidence in front of audiences and cameras. These early pageant wins opened the door to commercial work and stage opportunities.

Chabert began her professional entertainment career as a child, appearing in television commercials for brands including Burger King, Triaminic, Cough Syrup, Zest, and Secret Beauties dolls.
