Brandon Parker Bio
Brandon Malik Parker (born October 21, 1995) is an American professional football offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the North Carolina A&T Aggies before being selected by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft.
Standing 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 145 kilograms, Parker has built a professional career on the offensive line, starting for the Las Vegas Raiders and later contributing as a depth piece for the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco 49ers. He is recognized as one of the most decorated linemen in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) history.
Early Life and Background
Brandon Malik Parker was born on October 21, 1995, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to George Curtis Parker III and his wife Regina. Both of his parents had athletic backgrounds. Parker’s father was an All-ACC offensive lineman for the University of North Carolina, while his mother, Regina, was a prep basketball star at Carver High School and later played basketball at North Carolina.
Parker attended A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, where he started two of the three years he played varsity football. During his senior season, he led the Wonders to an 8–4 record, and his high school program averaged 287 rushing yards per game while completing 62.4 percent of its passes.
Parker’s tall and lanky frame was a point of concern for college recruiters. In a later interview, Parker explained that he was not heavily recruited out of high school because of his slim build and limited junior-year film. He ultimately received a full scholarship offer from North Carolina A&T, along with offers from Winston-Salem State, North Carolina Central, and a partial offer from North Carolina, his father’s alma mater.
Path to American Football
After signing with North Carolina A&T as part of Head Coach Rod Broadway’s 2013 recruiting class, Parker was redshirted during the 2013 season. In 2014, he was projected to be second on the depth chart at left tackle, but he became the starter after an injury to William Robinson. He started all 12 games that year, earning third-team All-MEAC honors.
Parker earned first-team All-MEAC recognition and the MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Year award in 2015, 2016, and 2017, becoming the first player in conference history to win the offensive lineman award in three consecutive seasons. He was named a second-team All-American in 2016 and a first-team All-American in 2017, and he finished his college career without allowing a single sack. He also received an invitation to the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl, where his performance helped raise his draft stock.

Oakland / Las Vegas Raiders (2018–2023)

He was named the Raiders’ starting right tackle in Week 5 of his rookie season after an injury to Donald Penn and went on to start three games at right tackle in 2019.
