Cameron Heyward Bio
Cameron Phillip Heyward is an American professional football defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft. He is the son of former NFL player Craig Heyward and the older brother of NFL player and teammate Connor Heyward.

Cameron Phillip Heyward was born on May 6, 1989, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the son of Craig “Ironhead” Heyward, a former NFL fullback who played in the league for more than a decade. Heyward attended Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where he played for the Peachtree Ridge Lions high school football team. Early Career (2011–2013)
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Heyward in the first round, 31st overall, of the 2011 NFL draft, and signed him to a four-year, $6.70 million contract. He made his professional regular season debut against the Baltimore Ravens and recorded his first career sack on Tennessee Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck on October 9, 2011. He finished his rookie year with 11 combined tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, a pass deflection, and a blocked field goal in 16 games.
