After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, Lee joined the Miami Heat for the 2016 NBA Summer League and then signed with the Boston Celtics. He appeared in two preseason games before being waived, and on October 31, 2016, he was acquired by the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League as an affiliate player of the Celtics.
