Morgan Geekie is a Canadian ice hockey player who plays the centre position for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on July 20, 1998, in Strathclair, Manitoba, Geekie grew up in an athletic household and worked his way through junior and minor professional hockey before becoming a full-time NHL contributor. Morgan Geekie was born on July 20, 1998, in Strathclair, Manitoba, to parents Craig and Tobi. The family has deep roots in sport. His father Craig played for the Brandon Wheat Kings and Spokane Chiefs before moving into coaching, giving Morgan an early understanding of how the game is taught and played at a high level.

Path to Professional Hockey
Geekie played youth hockey with the Yellowhead Chiefs of the Manitoba U-18 ‘AAA’ Hockey League, where he posted 53 points in 44 games during his rookie season and was recognized with multiple weekly and monthly honours. After that breakout year, he signed with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League and joined them for their final regular-season game of 2013–14.

Early Career (2015–2018)
Geekie’s final WHL campaign in 2017–18 saw him record 84 points in the regular season as the Tri-City Americans reached the Western Conference finals. He finished sixth in playoff scoring with 17 goals and 10 assists in 14 games, including four game-winning goals that tied him for the league lead.
Following that playoff run, Geekie signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement with the Carolina Hurricanes’ AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, and on May 10, 2018, he signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Hurricanes. He was assigned to the Checkers for the 2018–19 season and helped the team capture its first Calder Cup championship during the 2019 Calder Cup playoffs.
