Moriah Jefferson (born March 8, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who plays the point guard position. She is currently a free agent after being waived by the Chicago Sky on July 28, 2025. Jefferson was selected second overall by the San Antonio Stars in the 2016 WNBA draft. As a homeschooled athlete, Jefferson played five varsity seasons with the Texas Home Educators Sports Association (THESA) Riders, joining the varsity squad as an eighth grader. Across her prep career, she compiled 3,354 points, 825 rebounds, and 728 steals, helping the Riders to five National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championships and five NCHBC Texas Region titles. Jefferson played point guard at UConn from 2012 to 2016, leading the program to an extraordinary 151–5 record across her four seasons. The Huskies won four consecutive NCAA championships from 2013 through 2016, with Jefferson serving as the team’s primary floor general during the final three title runs.
She finished her UConn career ranked first in program history in assists with 659, second in steals with 353, and 22nd on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,532 points.
