“Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava: How Much Will It Earn on Opening Day? Trade Expert Offers Surprising Predictions!”

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava is the highly anticipated Bollywood release for Valentine’s Day 2025. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is based on the life of Chhatrapathi Sambhaji, the son of Shivaji Maharaj, and focuses on his battle against the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, who aimed to conquer the Deccan region. With an unbelievable onscreen transformation, Akshaye Khanna also stars in this epic narrative.

The trailer for Chhaava has received a mixed response from audiences. While many praised Vicky Kaushal’s commanding presence, others criticized the Marathi accents of both he and Rashmika Mandanna, claiming they fell below expectations. Additionally, some viewers found the action sequences a bit unrealistic. Despite this, advance bookings for the film have begun and are reportedly performing well, particularly in Maharashtra.

Chhatrapathi Sambhaji holds a significant place in Maratha history, allowing the film to resonate deeply with audiences in the region. Trade analyst Akshaye Rathi commented on the opening day prospects, stating, “It is still too early to say. But going by the reactions to the trailer and traction, I can foresee a solid opening. I would be surprised if it is anything less than Rs 15 crores.” He emphasized that Valentine’s Day typically sees couples enjoying movies together, contributing to the film’s momentum.

Despite some rumors suggesting that Chhaava has not gained traction outside Maharashtra, Rathi dismissed this claim, stating it is not true that it is a complete no-show in other Indian markets. He explained, “Maharashtra is outperforming as the tale of Chhaava resonates with the land, its people, and their emotions.” He referenced Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, which excelled in Maharashtra and across India, suggesting that Chhaava could do the same.

Akshaye Rathi’s insights indicate the excitement surrounding Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava and its potential impact in cinemas. As the opening day approaches, the film’s performance will be closely watched, with expectations set for a strong start fueled by advance bookings and the Valentine’s Day crowd.
