Margot Robbie Admits Feeling Lost Without Jacob Elordi Bond

Margot Robbie recently spoke candidly about her close bond with Jacob Elordi while working together on the film Wuthering Heights, revealing she often feels deeply attached to her co-stars. She described her relationships on set as almost co-dependent, explaining that she becomes very connected to the people she works with and finds it hard to let go once filming ends.

A Closer Look at Their On-Set Dynamic

During an interview with Fandango, Robbie explained,

I’m so co-dependent with people I work with and I love everyone so much and I’m always that person who’s so devastated when a job’s over and I never want it to end,

emphasizing the extent of her emotional investment in her partnerships during productions. She added,

I think I developed that quite quickly with Jacob too,

highlighting how quickly the pair established a strong connection.

Robbie recalled Elordi’s constant presence on set, even when she was the only actor filming. She shared,

I don’t know if Emerald told you to do this or you did this, but I remember the first couple days on set, he would just be always in the vicinity where I was, but like in a corner, watching Cathy,

revealing his quiet but steady support during her scenes.

Emerald Fennell, the director of Wuthering Heights, responded humorously,

I didn’t tell him to do that,

followed by Robbie’s admission,

I actually had to ask him to leave,

which made everyone laugh during the interview.

Mutual Dependence and Its Effects

Robbie described how disoriented she felt when Elordi was not nearby, comparing it to feeling like a kid without their blanket. She said,

I found myself starting to look around to see where he was,

and when he disappeared from sight, she felt unnerved and unmoored.

Jacob Elordi agreed with her description of their relationship, calling it a “mutual obsession.” He explained,

If you have the opportunity to share a film set with Margot Robbie, you’re going to make sure you’re within 5 to 10 meters at all times, watching how she drinks tea, how she eats her food. … She’s just like an elite actor,

praising her professionalism and presence on set.

The Anticipation Surrounding Wuthering Heights

Their intertwined rapport and on-screen chemistry can be fully appreciated when Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell, releases on February 14. The Australian duo’s strong connection both on and off screen adds an intriguing layer to the film that fans are eager to experience.
