Jennifer Garner, the actress and mother of three, recently spoke about her experiences with motherhood while promoting her latest partnership between her brand Once Upon A Farm and children’s clothing company Carter’s. The 53-year-old emphasized the emotional challenges young parents face, expressing empathy and understanding for those striving to do their best.
Garner shares three children—Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 13—with her ex-husband Ben Affleck. Her new children’s clothing line features vibrant prints of bananas, strawberries, and avocados with the goal of familiarizing kids with healthy foods through fun and colorful designs.
Encouraging Healthy Eating Through Playful Clothing Designs
Garner discussed the philosophy behind her brand’s designs, explaining that playful, colorful patterns help children become more accustomed to nutritious foods visually and sensibly.
“We want to fill little bellies and give them all the vitamins and nutrients they need, and one way to encourage that and get them used to all these foods on their palates is to have those reflected back on them visually,”
she said.
She elaborated that the partnership with Carter’s, a widely trusted children’s clothing brand, was an ideal match.
“We’re used to pajamas having different characters on them or stars or nighttime things. Why not have strawberries and avocados and bananas? And Carter’s is such a trusted brand. I don’t know any child that grows up without coming across Carter’s and wearing it. So it’s the perfect collaboration for us,”
Garner said.
Supporting Families Through Charitable Efforts
As part of the launch, both Carter’s Charitable Foundation and Once Upon a Farm will contribute $10,000 each to the nonprofit Save the Children. Garner explained the broader mission behind her co-founding role at Once Upon a Farm in 2017, which aims to provide nutritious baby food and snacks without added sugar, while also making these benefits accessible to children in need through programs like WIC (Women, Infants, and Children).

She stated,
“Part of wanting to be a co-founder of Once Upon a Farm was the idea that we couldn’t just feed babies and kids a whole new level of nutrition without added sugar, with real freshness and the natural texture and vibrance of fruits and vegetables; we also wanted to make that level of quality available to more children, through a WIC line by giving back to organizations like Save the Children.”
Garner highlighted the importance of supporting underserved rural communities and how this collaboration reflects that commitment.
“It makes perfect sense that in this collaboration with Carter’s, we would come together to support kids growing up in underserved communities in rural America,”
she said.
She also shared a sentimental view of the impact these products will have on young children.
“Those first onesies, first pajamas, those first clothes hold so much memory, so knowing that our designs are going to be on these squishy little bodies just brings me so much joy,”
Garner added.
Ben Affleck Discusses Raising Children in the Public Eye
Ben Affleck recently spoke about the complexities of parenting in the spotlight, highlighting the pressures his and Jennifer Garner’s children face growing up publicly.
“You put something on your children when you have a public life and that’s complicated,”
he told E! News earlier this month.
Affleck stressed the importance of allowing their children to make their own choices without external pressure.
“We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do,”
he explained.
He added,
“I wouldn’t push them into that. They’re brilliant and lovely and wonderful and we love them and we’re proud of them. And hope that they don’t waste their life acting.”
Their children’s current pursuits reflect diverse interests: Samuel and Fin attend school full time, while Violet is enrolled at Yale University and has developed a passion for activism.
