According to Saladino, Baldoni asked about Lively’s weight in relation to a scene being filmed, which left the actress feeling embarrassed and hurt. Don Saladino, who trained Blake Lively for her role in a 2024 film, provided a statement in court explaining his interactions with Baldoni. Though he never met Baldoni in person nor considered him a client, Saladino said he communicated with the actor several times via phone and text, offering information on Lively’s nutrition and workouts.
“At some point during his training for the film, Mr. Baldoni called me on the phone. I recall that Mr. Baldoni asked me how much Ms. Lively would weigh by the start of filming,”
Saladino stated in court.
The trainer explained that Baldoni’s question was related specifically to a scripted lift scene.
“He needed to know Ms. Lively’s weight to determine whether he could perform the lift,”
Saladino said, adding that the call made him feel very uncomfortable.
Saladino further expressed doubt about Baldoni’s justification for asking the question.
“I felt that the actor’s explanation for his question was dishonest, as with Baldoni’s workout regimen, he would easily be able to perform a lift in a range that would include Ms. Lively,”
the trainer stated.
