Chris Pratt recently addressed fan speculation about whether his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger, might join the cast of The Terminal List. Pratt revealed he has a specific character in mind for Schwarzenegger in the show’s upcoming season but stopped short of confirming any formal discussions. This hint excited fans eager to see both actors collaborate, especially given the show’s ongoing popularity.
Season Two Production Wraps Up Amid Casting Rumors
In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Pratt expressed enthusiasm about involving Schwarzenegger in the series. He said,
“I would love to incorporate Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminal List. There’s a couple of characters. One in particular, any fan — I’m not going to say who it is — but fans of the book will know who it is.”
He continued,
“I haven’t even spoken to Arnold about that, but I could see him playing this character. I think it would be so f—ing epic.”
Pratt also confirmed that filming for season two has concluded.
“We’re done with Season 2. We’re in post right now. We’ve locked six of eight episodes,”
he noted. The production wrapped in October 2025, with shoots across South Africa, North America, and Morocco, paving the way for a release expected later in 2026. Season two adapts True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr’s Terminal List series, continuing the story led by Pratt’s character, James Reece.
Uncertainty Surrounds Schwarzenegger’s Involvement Despite Enthusiasm
Although Schwarzenegger has not been officially linked to The Terminal List yet, Pratt acknowledged that the idea of casting him has circulated privately.
“People within our periphery have floated ideas around like you guys should do this,”
Pratt explained. Yet, he also reflected on their mutual hesitation, adding,
“And I think both of us kind of look at each other like I don’t know if that’s right.”
This uncertainty reflects a cautious approach to aligning Schwarzenegger’s distinct presence with the show’s tone and plot, keeping fans eager but unsure about what to expect next.
Background on The Terminal List and Expanding Universe
The Terminal List first premiered in July 2022 and quickly built a strong following with its intense action and suspenseful narrative. To maintain viewer interest during the gap between main seasons, a prequel series titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, starring Taylor Kitsch, was released in 2025. With season two’s post-production underway, the franchise is expanding its storyline, promising new characters and developments that could include Schwarzenegger’s potential addition.
