Channing Tatum took on a protective role while working with first-time actor Mason Reeves in the drama “Josephine,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday. The film follows eight-year-old Josephine, played by Reeves, who struggles with behavioral issues after witnessing a violent assault at Golden State Park. Tatum plays her father, Damien, and Gemma Chan portrays her mother, Claire.
Though Damien and Josephine share a close relationship, tensions arise as Josephine reacts outwardly to her trauma, creating conflict within the family.

Channing Tatum said.
“I was more concerned with her not thinking that I was actually mad at her. I was like, ‘You know, I was just acting, right?'”
Reeves responded with a confident laugh,
“He kept asking me about it, and I was like, I’m fine!”
