Los Angeles-based actress Sharon Stone has taken an unusual route in her artistic work, blending her creative expression with spiritual experiences. The acclaimed Hollywood star, aged 67, revealed she communicates with spirits and taps into universal consciousness to fuel her paintings, a practice she has embraced alongside her acting career.
Personal Loss Fuels Psychic Artistic Exploration
Stone has undergone a profound artistic journey in recent years, during which she has explored the unknown realm to guide her creative process. Reflecting on this, she told Extra,
I think this channel really opened because so many of my family members died and they died really rapidly in these last maybe three and a half years. I genuinely hear this higher consciousness speak to me. When these portraits started coming through, they really talked to me
Sharon Stone explained.
This spiritual approach deeply influences her work, as she often feels a connection to the souls she portrays. After completing a piece, the actress conveyed her gratitude to the spirits who inspired her, stating,
I think it’s really special when people, when they allowed me to see their soul because I believe in universal consciousness. I do believe that someone has allowed me into their consciousness so that I could paint this portrait of someone that I don’t know. I feel so blessed

Haunting Portrayals and Emotional Challenges
Among her evocative works, a particularly moving painting titled Him draws from the story of a spirit who initially struggled to communicate. Stone revealed the emotional toll it took on her:
Eventually, when he started talking to me, it was so traumatic, and he started telling me that he drowned in a ship where he was chained in the hull of this ship. When I painted him and I experienced this trauma of him being chained and drowning and unable to get out of his chains, it was so upsetting to make this painting
.
She further explained the difficult history behind this spirit, describing him as an enslaved person who drowned in the East China Sea on a slave ship. Stone said,
He had a very hard time talking to me, because as an enslaved person he was not allowed to talk openly and freely. He had me experience his drowning with him

Rogues Gallery Exhibition Highlights Spiritual Themes
These deeply felt portraits, part of Stone’s Rogues Gallery art series, showcase the spirits of individuals from various eras whom she has recently begun to channel through her painting. A statement accompanying the project described the collection as
powerful, haunting portraits of the spirits of people from different eras that she recently started to channel while painting
.
Stone’s approach marks a unique fusion of her artistic talents with spiritual sensibility, emphasizing the emotional and historical weight carried by these spectral figures. As she continues to explore this path, audiences and art enthusiasts can anticipate more evocative works that bridge past and present through the lens of universal consciousness.
