Pete Davidson Reveals Why He Avoids Using Urinals Completely

Comedian and actor Pete Davidson recently opened up about his strong dislike for using urinals during an episode of his new Netflix podcast, The Pete Davidson Show. The podcast debuted in the United States on Friday, January 30, featuring candid conversations held in Davidson’s garage, which he describes as the perfect place for meaningful talks. His preference to steer clear of urinals stems from his awareness of unwanted attention and discomfort in public restrooms.

Insights into Davidson’s Bathroom Habits and Social Anxiety

During a discussion with guest Machine Gun Kelly, Davidson revealed why he avoids urinals, especially in situations where privacy is lacking. He explained how he only uses stalls where he can close the door due to unease over strangers staring.

“I exclusively p*** in the toilet where you could shut the door because I look over and some dude’s staring,”

Davidson said. MGK added to the conversation, highlighting that, even with multiple stalls available, people sometimes choose to stand too close, making the experience awkward. “Especially when there’s 6 stalls, like, ‘Hey, bro. Why are you right next to me?’

Davidson further elaborated that he is not comfortable with the casual approach some men take, emphasizing that he is

“not one of those dudes just whips it out and p*****.”

He described needing time and even flushing the toilet during the process to feel at ease, distancing himself from the stereotype of nonchalantly using urinals. This candid admission sheds light on his social discomfort in these commonplace moments.

Admiration for Others’ Freedom and Unconventional Approaches

Despite his own inhibitions, Davidson expressed admiration for people who can use public spaces in a more uninhibited way, including those who relieve themselves outdoors.

“They’re just like, ‘Oh, I’m just gonna pee on this tree’. I’m like, ‘You go. Good. You hero’,”

he remarked. He described such behavior as “impressive” and “primal,” suggesting respect for those who exhibit the confidence to act freely in these situations.

More than Just Humor: Mental Health Conversations with Machine Gun Kelly

Alongside humorous anecdotes, Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly also touched on more serious topics, particularly regarding their mutual support through mental health challenges. MGK reflected on their friendship’s impact, noting a harmonious pattern in their bipolar experiences.

“I realized through our friendship … our bipolar has synced up because every time I’m having a manic episode, you’re good, and every time you’re having one, I’m good,”

he said. He added,

“Every time I call, you’re super mellow. And every time you call, I’m super mellow. So it just like goes back and forth.”

The Podcast’s Role in Revealing Personal and Candid Moments

The Pete Davidson Show aims to provide an unfiltered space where Davidson and his guests freely discuss a wide range of topics, blending humor with vulnerability. Launching on Netflix, a platform where Davidson previously showcased his stand-up specials, the podcast offers fans a closer look at his personality and candid musings. His openness about everyday experiences, such as his urinal preferences, alongside deeper conversations about mental health, reflects the show’s unique blend of lightheartedness and sincerity.
