Los Angeles – Jason Momoa recently discussed how working on the sci-fi TV series Stargate Atlantis in his 20s served as an important learning experience. The Hollywood actor described the period as crucial for his development, likening it to attending college due to the commitment and growth it demanded.
The Intensive Experience of Filming Stargate Atlantis
Momoa explained that filming Stargate Atlantis required nearly nine months each year over four years, with around 22 episodes produced annually. He revealed in an interview with MovieZine that shooting each episode took roughly a week and a half, offering a fast-paced and immersive introduction to the industry.
Stargate Atlantis was like going to college, to tell you the truth. It was four years of my life, you do 22 episodes, roughly takes about nine months out of the year, and you’re pretty much dedicated to that.
