Get Ready for Romance: Margot Robbie’s ‘Wuthering Heights’ Set to Release on Valentine’s Day 2026!

Margot Robbie hasn’t graced the big screen since her acclaimed role in the blockbuster film, Barbie, which raked in over $1.4 billion globally and received eight Academy Award nominations. Recently, Warner Bros. delivered thrilling news regarding Robbie’s upcoming project—an adaptation of Wuthering Heights. This film, starring Robbie alongside Jacob Elordi and Hong Chau, is slated for release on February 14, 2026, precisely one year from today.

Wuthering Heights, a classic novel by Emily Brontë, is being brought to life under the direction of Emerald Fennell, who will also pen the screenplay. The supporting cast includes Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif, Owen Cooper, and Vy Nguyen, further enriching this highly anticipated project. This latest adaptation holds the promise of being one of the most star-studded versions yet, following numerous interpretations of the tale over the years.

Historically, Wuthering Heights has been adapted into film and television more than ten times. Notably, a two-episode miniseries aired on PBS in 2009, featuring Tom Hardy in a riveting portrayal of Heathcliff, alongside Charlotte Riley and Andrew Lincoln. In 2011, an unrated film adaptation was released, featuring Kaya Scodelario and James Howson, which is currently available for streaming on Peacock. The very first cinematic depiction of this beloved narrative dates back to 1939, showcasing the now-classic rendering with Merle Oberon and Laurence Olivier. That version can be found streaming on Prime Video and Plex.

As for upcoming projects, Margot Robbie is set to star alongside Colin Farrell and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in A Big Beautiful Journey, a drama directed by Kogonada, which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 9. Meanwhile, Jacob Elordi is confirmed to star in The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a TV series set for release on April 18. He will also appear in Frankenstein, directed by the renowned Guillermo del Toro, along with Mia Goth and Oscar Isaac.

The anticipation surrounding Wuthering Heights is palpable, particularly given Emerald Fennell’s recent collaboration with Elordi in the critically acclaimed film Saltburn. With a release date on Valentine’s Day 2026, audiences can expect an exceptional portrayal of this timeless story. Keep an eye out for upcoming updates on the project, as fans of Margot Robbie and classic literature alike eagerly await this cinematic offering.
