Anya Taylor-Joy Shines at Dior’s Candy-Colored Beauty Launch

West Hollywood brightened with a soft pink glow as Dior transformed a local event space into a candy-inspired setting on Tuesday night. This special evening unveiled the highly anticipated Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil and Dior Addict fragrances, marking the completion of a project nearly three years in the making.

The launch, led by Dior Makeup’s creative and image director Peter Philips and Dior Perfume creation director Francis Kurkdjian, combined makeup and fragrance into a playful, sensory experience. The new Addict fragrances debuted in gourmand scents named Peachy Glow, Rosy Glow, and Purple Glow, with this event serving as the pop-up’s final stop after its initial appearance in Tokyo.

Notable Faces Highlight Diverse Expressions of Beauty

At the heart of the event were campaign spokespeople Anya Taylor-Joy, Willow Smith, and Jisoo, each representing different aspects of contemporary beauty for Dior Addict. Their presence brought life to this colorful celebration, emphasizing inclusivity and individuality.

Reflecting on her role, Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, spoke to the significance of representation in fashion and beauty spaces.

“Being a woman of color, the fact that I can be here and have an alternative look — I have piercings and tattoos, and, you know, my hair is a different kind of texture — I feel, like, when I walk into a space, that in itself is almost me being like, ‘This is also beautiful,’”

said Willow Smith, singer and actress.

“This kind of beauty is also beautiful, and all sorts of beauty should be accepted in these spaces.”

Willow also shared how her current inspiration comes from a spirit of mutual support during challenging times.

“Helping each other through this really, really tough time that we’re going through,”

she added, referring to the social and political uncertainties felt across the U.S.

Anya Taylor-Joy Finds Joy Amid Intense Work Schedule

For Anya Taylor-Joy, embodying the Dior Addict campaign was a welcome break from the demanding pace of her career.

“We had so much fun shooting the campaign,”

said the 29-year-old actress.

“I was in the middle of quite intense night shoots, so it was the perfect thing to counteract that, to be thrust into a pink candy wonderland.”

This year promises to be busy for Taylor-Joy, with upcoming roles ranging from voicing Princess Peach in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie to starring in Apple TV’s drama series Lucky this summer, and appearing in Dune: Part Three scheduled for December.

She also remarked on the event’s distinctive style, describing it as quintessentially Dior:

“Somebody told me they’re Dior lollipops. I think that’s so chic.”

An Immersive Experience Blending Sweetness and Nightlife

The venue’s candy-coated design invited guests into a whimsical atmosphere filled with treats and vibrant photo opportunities. Attendees explored beauty stations featuring the new lip oils, now enhanced with pigments and glitter, available in 26 shades. Leading into the evening, a dark hallway transitioned visitors into a dynamic, club-like space featuring a DJ, bar, and lounge seating that contrasted sharply with the sugary front of the event.

The crowd consisted of a diverse mix of actors and musicians, including Will Price, Mckenna Grace, Odessa Young, Ji-Young Yoo, Julia Butters, Odeya Rush, and Flowerovlove, all enjoying the multifaceted celebration.

Innovative Products Reflect Dior’s Commitment to Play and Quality

Peter Philips highlighted the importance of maintaining the beloved qualities of the iconic lip glow oil while introducing new elements.

“We had one iconic product, the lip glow oil, which became viral,”

he explained.

“We fine-tuned the formula in a way that doesn’t change the sensation for people who love the formula, but allows us to add pigments and glitters.”

He likened the variety of available options to a candy store, emphasizing choice and fun.

“Everybody can find something,”

Philips said.

“It’s like a candy store. You can find your favorite little candy.”

Francis Kurkdjian described the collaboration as unique and exceptionally natural, weaving scent with makeup to create a protective, uplifting experience.

“When a woman is in love with a perfume, she feels almost protected. It’s like armor,”

he said.

“So we brought that idea of fruitiness, yumminess, gourmand. This idea of juiciness, freshness, morning dew.”

A Milestone Blending Beauty and Fragrance Innovation

Dior’s latest launch highlights how combining scent and makeup can create an immersive brand experience that engages multiple senses and celebrates diversity. By bringing together talents like Anya Taylor-Joy, Willow Smith, and Jisoo, and developing multifaceted products with refined formulations, Dior sets a new standard in the beauty industry. The event’s blend of whimsy and sophistication hints at future creative directions merging fragrance and cosmetics, assuring continued excitement among consumers and fans.
