Rebecca Ferguson Reveals Tearful Moment with Unknown Co-Star

Rebecca Ferguson has shared new details about a distressing experience involving an unnamed co-star who screamed at her during filming. The Swedish actress first mentioned this incident two years ago, sparking speculation online about the identity of the actor and the circumstances behind the moment.

Ferguson Reflects on Emotional Impact and Personal Vulnerability

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar UK, Ferguson explained that the incident was less about the co-star’s behavior and more about her own feelings at the time. She admitted feeling frightened and unsure how to address the situation privately. Recalling the moment, she said,

“It wasn’t about the person. It was about me. It was so scary. I didn’t know then how to go, ‘Hey, can I talk to you privately?’”

Ferguson added,

“Now, I would want to believe that I could have taken this person aside.”

Discussion on Industry Culture and Personal Safety on Set

Ferguson also touched on the broader conversations about “woke” culture within the entertainment industry, expressing a positive view toward its role in creating balance. She stated,

“A lot of people say that we’ve become too woke, but I think, no, it’s great. The pendulum needs to swing to the other side so that we can find a balance in between.”

The actress revealed more about the incident on the February 2024 episode of the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, describing her co-star’s insecurity and frustration while struggling with the scenes.

“I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,”

Ferguson shared.

Recalling how vulnerable she felt, she continued,

“And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at,”

adding,

“But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”

Clarification on Identity and Upcoming Projects

Although Ferguson did not disclose the co-star’s name, she confirmed it was neither Tom Cruise nor Hugh Jackman, two of her most notable collaborators. She has worked alongside Cruise in the Mission: Impossible films and shared the screen with Jackman in the 2017 musical The Greatest Showman.

Looking ahead, Ferguson’s high-profile projects include Dune: Part Three and Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, both scheduled for release later this year, marking significant milestones in her career after these difficult experiences.
