Chris Hemsworth’s Kids Reveal Surprising Thoughts on His Fame

At the world premiere of Crime 101 held on February 10 at the United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles, Chris Hemsworth spoke to PEOPLE about what his children think of his career. Hemsworth, 42, is a globally known actor, yet his kids have a surprisingly indifferent attitude toward his fame.

He and his wife, Elsa Pataky, are parents to three children: 13-year-old daughter India Rose Hemsworth and 11-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan Hemsworth. Despite Hemsworth’s celebrity status, his children’s opinions are far from starstruck.

The Changing Perspective of Fame Through His Children’s Eyes

Hemsworth explained that when his children were younger, they admired his film roles, particularly his portrayal of Marvel’s Thor. However, as they grew older, their enthusiasm for his superhero identity waned.

“They don’t care. They don’t care at all,”

Hemsworth said when asked about whether his kids think he’s cool because of his fame.

“I reckon when they first realized I was Thor, they thought it was really cool,”

he continued.

“And then they realized they couldn’t fly and they thought it was less cool.”

He added that their current reaction is typical of teenagers:

“Now they’re just like, ‘ah, Dad, whatever,’”

Hemsworth noted.
