Marques and Glaser Dominate 2023 WCOOP: The 2023 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) outcomes are growing more thrilling. This high-stakes environment has seen some of poker’s top personalities become digital legends. Andre “PTFisherman23” Marques, who won the 2020 WCOOP Main Event, returned to the spotlight and added about $180,000 to his budget last week.
The first player to win ten World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) championships was Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser. This is even more astounding, given his twenty “COOP” titles.
Marques won the $5,200 No-Limit Hold’em PKO Thursday Thrill High Roller, a two-day event with 113 brave players and a $650,000 prize fund. Lex L. Veldhuis, a famous Team PokerStars player, started robust but finished 20th. He earned a respectable $1,875 from the bounty.
Unfortunately, famous Bulgarian player Dimitar “KuuL” Danchev played bubble boy. This allowed Samuel “uropan” Vousden, Sergi “srxagirona” Reixach, Pedro “pvigar” Garagnani, and Ramiro “ramastar88” Petrone to compete for money.
The first of the nine final table losers was Patrick “pads1161” Leonard. The final table had six candidates after Granter7777 and Andrey “Kot_Spartac” Kotelnikov were eliminated.
After boerni21 left and neeno1990 died in fifth place, this field shrank even more. Dmitry “yurasov1990” Yurasov, who also had a 1990-sounding name, placed fourth. After Preben “prebz” Stokkan ran out of chips, the decisive heads-up match began.
Marques faced Swedish online poker master Simon “C. Drawin2” Mattsson in the final. Each contender received $74,876 from the main prize pool. The titanic reward prizes remained the most sought-after. Marques won $179,133 with an additional $104,527. Mattsson also earned $94,290 for his efforts.

Portuguese poker star Marques lives in Brazil. This win was terrific in his poker career. His 2020 WCOOP Main Event win is remembered. He reached a deal with third-place finisher Teun “tinnoemulder” Mulder ($1,101,528) and second-place finisher Tonio “prrrak4783” Roder ($1,082,523), making poker history. Marques earned $1,147,271 from the special conference, a terrific way to become king.
Poker legend Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser continues writing his narrative. He won his tenth WCOOP in the $1,050 World Championship of 2-7 Triple Draw. Glaser led a six-player tableau to conclude this high-stakes fight. Norwegian Tobias “Senkel92” Leknes, a WCOOP veteran, was the sixth-place dropout. Brazilian team brunojardes1 and Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi followed.
Glaser faced Austrian Blackbeaty in the final act. Glaser’s persistence paid off despite initial uncertainty. He defeated his opponent and won his ninth WCOOP title, demonstrating his poker skills.
