Hilary Duff’s Daughter Banks Is a Lindsay Lohan Fan

Hilary Duff revealed that her eldest daughter, Banks, is a devoted Lindsay Lohan fan during a recent conversation on the podcast Call Her Daddy. The singer and actress, known for her role as Lizzie McGuire, spoke about her family life and her children’s interest in her past work, highlighting Banks’s admiration for Lohan despite any public history between the two actresses.

During the interview with host Alex Cooper, Duff discussed her four children: Townes, 21 months; Mae, 4; Banks, 7; and son Luca, 13. Banks, Duff explained, is particularly enthusiastic about Lindsay Lohan, showing no awareness of any childhood tension the two actresses once had.

Mae’s Fascination with Lizzie McGuire Movie and Banks’ Support for Lohan

While Banks is a fan of Lohan, Duff’s younger daughter Mae expressed wonder at the acting in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, especially at her mother portraying two different characters.

“My 4-year-old is very like, ‘How? But how? How did you do that?’”

Hilary Duff said about Mae’s amazement.

“[Mae] just watched it on a plane. And when it was over, she was sitting next to my assistant, and she goes, ‘Again,’”

Duff joked, illustrating Mae’s delight with the film.

Regarding Banks’s admiration, Duff laughed,

“Banks is a Lindsay Lohan stan,”

she said.

No, Banks is my number one cheerleader to the max. She obviously doesn’t know any of that stuff.”

The History Behind Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan’s Teenage Rivalry

The podcast also addressed Duff’s past conflict with Lindsay Lohan during their teenage years. Alex Cooper asked if Duff had crashed the premiere of Freaky Friday intentionally in 2003, which led Duff to admit that she had.

“I think absolutely yes,” Duff said. “Yeah, I was a teenager!”

Cooper then inquired about Lohan’s appearance at the premiere of Cheaper by the Dozen later that year and whether it surprised Duff.

“No,” Duff responded firmly, further explaining the rivalry.

“I mean, that was like my childhood feud…like nemesis. I mean, I’m sure my publicist is going to be like, ‘What the f–k are you doing?’ But now it’s so many years later, who cares? It does not matter.”

she said candidly.

She also recounted a moment when Lohan approached her at a club to make peace.

“Also, Lindsay came up to me at a club once and was like, ‘Are we good?’ I was like, ‘We’re good.’ And she was like, ‘Let’s take a shot!’”

Duff recalled.

Chad Michael Murray’s Role in the Premiere Incident

Hilary Duff shared that actor Chad Michael Murray, her co-star in A Cinderella Story, invited her to attend the Freaky Friday premiere, which contributed to her decision to show up there unexpectedly.

“But also, Chad Michael Murray invited me. Why would he…I don’t want to start any more stuff, but he was like, ‘You should come with me,’”

she explained.

“And I was like, ‘Mhm. Probably I should.’ I mean, what was I, like six[teen]? No, I was younger than that.”

The Lasting Impression of a Teenage Feud on Celebrity Relationships

The story of Duff and Lohan’s youthful rivalry, now long past, remains a memorable chapter in their early careers. Duff’s candid admissions reveal how the feud also amused their friends and shaped certain events in Hollywood at the time.

Despite their history, Duff’s comments about Banks being a Lindsay Lohan fan underline how the next generation often remains unaware of old disputes. This shift shows how perspectives on celebrity relationships can change over time in the public eye.
