Kerry County Council has officially approved a major restoration initiative led by Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy and artist Yvonne McGuinness to revive the Phoenix Cinema in Daingean Uí Chúis (Dingle). The couple acquired the Phoenix Cinema in November 2024 after it had been put up for sale in 2022, raising concerns about its future use.
