Vin Diesel commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise on March 2 with a heartfelt video shared on Instagram featuring Meadow Walker, daughter of the late Paul Walker. The pair celebrated the milestone alongside the “family” that the film series has created, highlighting the enduring bond formed through the action-packed saga.
Sharing Nostalgia and Excitement Over Upcoming Car Exhibit
During the video, Diesel reflected on the significance of the anniversary with Meadow, who appeared alongside him in 2023’s Fast X.
“Obviously we always share old stories, nostalgic stories, especially since it’s the 25th anniversary,”
Diesel said, acknowledging the deep connection they share over more than two decades since the original film’s release in June 2001.
Both expressed their enthusiasm about a special exhibit at Los Angeles’ Petersen Automotive Museum where iconic cars from the Fast & Furious franchise will soon be displayed.
“But Meadow and I were incredibly excited for some reason about the fact that our cars from Fast and Furious are going to be — featured? Premiered? Shown?”
Diesel remarked. Meadow added playfully,
“Yeah, on display? I don’t know,”
which Diesel then clarified as taking place at “the Petersen car museum.”
The exhibit, opening March 14, will showcase screen-used vehicles and prototypes from the series, emphasizing the franchise’s legacy of adrenaline-fueled automotive culture. According to the museum, the display celebrates
“the nitrous-injected world of Fast & Furious”
and honors the series’ iconic “quarter mile at a time” spirit.
Honoring Paul Walker’s Legacy Through Family and Foundation
In reflecting on the anniversary, Diesel shared a touching moment from the reunion:
“Something that warmed my heart was when Meadow talked to the whole family about how excited she was that her Paul Walker Foundation merchandise will be available at the museum.”
He then added with some anticipation,

“And when are we cutting the ribbon?”
Meadow responded with a smile, “On the 12th of March.” Since Paul Walker’s tragic passing at age 40 in 2013, Meadow has been dedicated to continuing his legacy as chairman of the Paul Walker Foundation, which focuses on educational efforts supporting ocean conservation and wildlife protection.
Meadow’s recent public appearances with Diesel include the 2023 Fast X premieres. In December, she commemorated the 12th anniversary of her father’s death by sharing childhood photos on Instagram, emphasizing the enduring familial bonds that remain strong within the fast-driving franchise family.
Upcoming Projects and Continuing Franchise Impact
Vin Diesel is set to return as Dominic Toretto in the upcoming 2028 film Fast Forever, alongside many familiar franchise regulars such as Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Momoa. This ongoing ensemble highlights the sustained popularity and cultural significance of the series, which has captivated audiences worldwide for a quarter-century.
The 25-year celebration with family, legacy acknowledgments, and the Petersen Automotive Museum exhibit underscore how the Fast & Furious saga remains a powerful force in entertainment, rallying fans around its thrilling storytelling and close-knit cast both on and off the screen.
