McDonald Success : McDonald‘s is really focusing on their cool characters after doing really well in the second quarter. The big fast-food company, famous for Ronald McDonald and the Hamburglar, discovered another McDonald land character to inspire its new restaurant style, called CosMc’s.
Next year, CosMcs will be tested in some specific places. It’s like a little McDonald’s that has its own special style. The company was really excited to show off more plans for growth and cool ideas for how things will look at its Investor Day at the end of the year.
The Fandom website has this cool character called CosMc. He’s all about McDonald’s trivia. He talked like a cool surfer dude in McDonald’s commercials from 1980 to 1985. He hung out with Ronal McDonald, Grimace, and the Professor at their picnic.
The boss of McDonald’s, Chris Kempczinski, talked about CosMc’s during an important meeting about money, saying they want to make the brand bigger. But we don’t know the specific details of the new idea.
Kempczinski said that Grimace’s birthday marketing really helped make the second quarter’s results really good. FactSet said that from April to June, the sales at stores that have been open for at least a year increased by more than 12%.
This is even better than what the Wall Street experts thought would happen. They predicted a 9.4% increase, but it turned out to be even higher.
In the second part, progress might slow down a bit. Ian Borden, who is the Chief Financial Officer of McDonald’s, thinks that prices going up will start to slow down because inflation is going down.

McDonald’s had to pay $18 million to make some changes and be able to make decisions faster after some people lost their jobs in April. This happened even though the company was doing well financially.
McDonald’s profited more this year. Sales grew 14% to $6.5 billion. Experts underestimated this. US retail sales rose 10.3% in the quarter, more than three times last year’s 3.7%.
Last quarter, the company made money. They made $2.3 billion, almost triple their initial investment. Analysts predicted $2.78, but the company’s shares were valued $3.17.
