As she was captivating the crowd, Wicked actor and Saturday Night Live comedian Bowen Yang revealed on his podcast, Las Culturistas, that he sent her a message while she was singing.
“Obnoxiously, I did text her while she was singing, and I said, ‘I think you are unequivocally one of the best vocalists of all time,’” Bowen admitted, via Entertainment Weekly. He continued praising her, saying, “We were all in a literal thrall. I got my life watching all of it.” Cynthia also reconnected with a former costar during the Grammys, leading to speculations fueled by a unique accessory she wore during her performance.
